Use this guide to optimise your most valuable resource:

1. Add structure and purpose to each day

  • Make a list of all your activities (on Excel, Outlook or a note pad)
  • Rank them according to priority
  • Allocate how much time you think you need for each activity (add 50%)
  • Restrict your day plan to cover six tasks
  • Complete the most difficult activities first – this eliminates procrastination

2. Minimise interruptions

  • Set an hour aside each day to deal with troubleshooting and unexpected interruptions that demand your attention
